Fortnite Players Find A Strange Pirate Anchor In Fortnite’s Dusty Divot
Epic Games constantly make changes to Fortnite map. Recently, another new excavation/dig site has been found at Dusty Divot. Dusty Divot was covered with rocks which prevents players from seeing what’s underneath. However, Fortnite players work together and dig up blocks of mud, they find that there’s an anchor at the bottom along with many chests. Here is what the new evacuation site looks like.
For those uninitiated, here’s where Dusty Divot is located on the map, which is marked on the image above. Players spotted it a few days after they finished work on a similar one near Paradise Palms. Just like in that case, players can only damage them with your pickaxe, every player in the entire world can damage these rocks at once and affect the same health bar as they do so. So the 50 damage you do per hit is only a very small portion of what why you're seeing that health bar go down so quickly: it's the combined effort of every player in the world, at least every player that feels inclined to hop into a hole and whack at rocks for a while.
As you can see int the image above, the anchor that appears to be hidden beneath the surface builds on the theme of the current season that focuses heavily on pirates, though how it plays into the larger story of Fortnite’s Season 8 is still unknown. What do you think the relevance of the anchor is? Do you think there will be more progress in the storyline now a new item has been uncovered and is this somehow linked to the mysterious helicopter that has been moving around the map? Data-miners have looked into the files to see if there are any more excavation sites, but it seems as though this will be the last one.
Only time will tell what these sites and the items found there have to do with the rest of Season 8, but it’s unlikely that Fortnite fans will have to wait too long to find out. Meanwhile, you can stay to mmocs.com, as we will keep the story updated.
