Fortnte Season 6 has officially kicked off on September 27 at 4:00 AM Eastern Time. So you can download the game right now. There is a host of changes along with this all-new season and Epic Games has now released the full state of Fortnite V6.0 patch notes ahead of the game, which bring brand-new Free challenges and Battle Royale challenges, giving fans an idea of what to expect when they has a first taste of the Fortnite Season 6.This article lays out what to expect with the patch notes. Fortnite new map locations
Floating Islands - It sounds a lot like these Floating Islands will be parts of the map that will have been affected by the Cube back in Fortnite Season 5, where gravity was weakened.
Corn Fields - As of right now we're not entirely sure what the Corn Fields are, but it definitely fits with the Halloween theme for Fortnite Season 6.
Corrupted Areas - We'll be delving into Fortnite for ourselves as soon as the servers are back online, to check out the new Corrupted Areas for ourselves.
Haunted Castle - Further up the page, you can see our first screenshot of the Haunted Castle, which we can pretty safely assume will be a big location for Fortnite Season 6.

Gameplay changes
The headline news is of course the arrival of Fornite Season 6, which brings with it the addition of Pets for the first time in Fortnite history. You can check out a sample of the Pets just below. According to the new patch notes, those pets will watch you back when you drop in.

A lot of weapons have also been removed from the game. Impulse Grenade, Suppressed Submachine Gun, Light Machine Gun, Bouncer, and Remote Explosives have all been vaulted. However, these weapons will be available in the Playground mode. Momentum functionality is added to Grapplers. Grappler charges is reduced from 15 to 10.Double Barrel damage is reduced from 143/150 to 114/120. Epic Games has released a development post which demonstrates that the Fortnite developer will improve audio effects, adding spatial audio to the Fortnite Season 6. One notable improvement is the addition of vertical audio, with which players are able to differentiate whether the sound is coming from above or below and making it easier for players to pinpoint the exact location of footsteps.Besides, the audio changes should also influence gliders and other mid-air items too, since players will hear falling sounds of those air vehicles.

Storm changes
Fortnite developer seems to make storm effects more intense in Fortnite Season 6 and Fortnite Battle Royale will become faster due to the storm changes, since waiting time has been reduced. On the other hand, players will have more time to reach a safe zone as shrinking time has been increased.

 

Cross-play functionality
On September 26, Sony finally trails Fortnite cross-play on PS4 out in a beta. The Fortnite PS4 cross-play beta is now available and allows players to play with others on PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Mac operating systems.
