Fortnite Update 6.20 Patch Notes: Halloween Event, Beta Tournament, Server Downtime, Glider Tests, All You Should Know
As always, The Fortnite creator is always trying to keep the game fresh with new content, making Fortnite Battle Royale one of the most popular game. This week, Epic Games will release another huge change to the Fortnite Battle Royale and reveal more details of the upcoming Halloween Fortnitemares event with the Patch Notes V6.20. Fortnite releases the Patch v6.20 on Wednesday, October 24.
As many Fortnite players are aware, Epic Games has allowed glider re-deployment in the Soaring 50’s limited-time game mode. Even after this mode was removed from the game, players were still able to re-deploy their gliders in the Disco Domination. The development team are now experimenting with how glider works and if they can improve mobility across the island. In the v6.20 update, the glider re-deploy mechanic is added to all game modes. Player are able to hop into a Solo, Duo or Squad match as per usual, but now they are able to re-deploy your glider when you are at least three stories high. This means that there won’t be many fall damage eliminations after this patch comes out. However, unlike other major updates to gameplay, the new glider mechanic is just an experiment. Epic Games will only be running it as a test for the next week, so it could disappear by the end of October. If players like it, there is no doubt it will become permanent.
Fortnitemares will be another major piece of the new Fortnite update going live today. This will be a new in-game event which is bound to bring its own challenges and cosmetics. There’s also a good chance that a Halloween-themed LTM will be added on October 24. Something connected with zombies and guns looks set to be added to the game very soon. The Halloween event will kick off this Wednesday, October 24 and last through Monday, November 26.
Aside from the glider test and the Halloween event, the Battle Royale developer will also lay the foundations for the Beta Tournament, which runs from October 23 until October 25. The Beta Tournament shifts the focus to duos and will be followed by the weekly Friday tournament. For more details, check the video below.
Aside from new weapons, a bunch of new skins and cosmetics will also would come out. At moment, a new skin (Ghoul Zombie), new backbling (the mini cube) and a new version of the Revolver weapon has already been vaulted. A new animal themed vehicle called the Antelope may also be added. So this year the Fortnite Halloween event definitely will be very cool, are you ready?
