Xbox Game Pass added a major name to its game series in the form of Grand Theft Auto 5. Rockstar Games has consistently adopted the latest GTA financially through constant updates and revenue generated through various online expansions of the game. Due to constant updates, the game has been selling well since it was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013. Since then, it has been released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, so it brings many visual enhancements that make it well worth upgrading existing players.

 
 

Grand Theft Auto V joins Xbox Game Pass after shifting over 100 million copies, still regularly topping sales charts since its 2013 debut. While a comprehensive single-player package kickstarted a bestseller, regular free updates with Grand Theft Auto Online have supported the title through 2020. And with the release of "The Diamond Casino Heist" in December, Microsoft opens the title to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox One.
 
GTA Online recently launched its new Diamond Casino Heist, which is the game’s most complex mission to date. Xbox Game Pass grants players access to more than 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for 10 bucks a month — you can check out a full list of available console and PC games here. With GTA V joining the Xbox Game Pass Lineup, Microsoft is already starting strong this 2020. Xbox already has very strong titles such as Halo: The Master Chief Collection and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on their repertoire. Both of these titles are available on both the Xbox and PC, with Halo: The Master Chief Collection titles rolling out slowly this year. Halo: Reach was the first to arrive last December, and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will be coming up next.
 
Microsoft has been actively promoting Game Pass recently, and as the service is included in the company's ongoing game streaming service test (called xCloud), its service plan seems very clear. In the past few months, Game Pass has even been applied to PCs, and there are rumors that the Xbox Game Pass may even enter the Nintendo Switch in the near future. All of this is exciting because Microsoft is starting to push its games to a more accessible format across platforms.
 
Of course, all of this is unlikely to interfere with the 2020 plans surrounding the Xbox Series X. The console will run a game that caters to hardware and a PC port with the same title, further expanding a new audience. All in all, Microsoft seems to have a good strategy for Xbox Game Pass, support for competitor hardware (such as Banjo and Kazooie appearing in Smash Bros Ultimate), support for PCs, and plans for next-generation consoles. Now, time will tell consumers how fast consumers are eager to try.
