Will next gen Madden NFL 22 be on PC? The answer is no, EA Sports is too focused on the next-gen consoles and cannot upgrade the PC version right now.
 
When Madden NFL 22 was announced on Thursday, EA listed a number of next-gen features coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game that wouldn’t be included in the last-gen PS4 and Xbox One releases. These features include next-gen stats, more refined AI, stadium atmosphere, and improved movement – with most of these part of the ‘dynamic gameday’ feature the publisher is adding to make the latest Madden more exciting and realistic. Unfortunately, the PC version will be the PS4/Xbox One version and not the next-gen version. Sports Gamers Online reached out to EA for an explanation and received a response, although it’s not one that’ll satisfy disappointed PC fans – who only just started getting the Madden games again in 2019.
 
“It’s something being explored for the future. We’re still early in the transition to next-gen and right now the team is focused on making the best, quality experience on new consoles before looking to upgrade other platforms.”
 
Now keep in mind that we’re talking about one of the biggest gaming publishers. So yeah, it’s a bit ironic that the team that is working on a franchise that can generate over $4 billion cannot invest some resources in order to port the next-gen version to PC.

 

 
So, in Madden NFL 22 the dev team cannot allocate enough resources to port the next-gen version to PC. In FIFA 21, the other EA Sports team does not want to raise the game’s PC requirements.
 
All in all, don’t expect to be playing next-gen sports games this year on PC. And yeah, I’m almost certain that the PC version of FIFA 22 will be also the old-gen version!
 
Madden 22 gameplay will include Next Gen Stats Star Driven AI, an overhauled gameday atmosphere, and Next Gen Movement 2.0. All of those new features are only offered to next-gen console players.
