MapleStory 2 has been in and out of closed beta tests for the past couple of months, but the release date for the free-to-play MMO has finally been announced. Mushking Royale was tested in the second closed beta and will have new features added, like the ability to play in squads with up to three other players. The game implements a robust set of character options, a brand new progression and growth system, and world-building tools, redefining the MMORPG genre by giving players the ability to customize everything. The game has been in closed beta testing for the past three months. The game will launch with a new class, Runeblade, 12 new dungeons, and more contents. Also, the level cap will be increased from 50 to 60. After the second closed beta back in July, developer NSquare and publisher Nexon have revealed that the anticipated sequel will officially launch this October. Before the official launch, Nexon has revealed a Mushking Royale Pre-Season will run from August 22 until October 1, 2018. As a reminder, Mushking Royale is a battle royale style mode, which will now include a Squad Mode where four folks can team up together. Developed by the South Korean development team, Wizet, the game featured tons of grinding and esoteric farming routines that hardcore players fully embraced.
