The Division 2 Episode 1 Is On The Public Test Server Now, And Here’s What You Should Know Episode 1-3
DC Outskirts: Expeditions Public Test
The Division Free Episode 1-3
Episode 1 PTS Update
2019-07-02 08:58:13
The Division 2's first free episodic update, DC Outskirts: Expeditions test is live now only on PC and will follow a set schedule where parts of the episode are unlocked and locked for the purposes of putting specific features through their paces.
In addition, Ubisoft's also making some changes to crafting and exotics, and players will be able to get their hands on a pair of new weapons and exotic gloves. Heroic bosses will drop exotic loot and Cassie will sell better stuff, including named items and exotics. Blueprints, meanwhile, will be shared across all sources, so you can focus on activities you like, and they'll also be for sale. You'll also be able to slap flashlights on your pistols.
Last, The team's also exploring changes to loot drops and the gear system, and fix some other issues like signature weapons, loading times and difficulty, and so on.
Episode 1 is D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions, and the content focuses around players expanding out of the ruined metropolis of D.C. and into more rural areas. The main highlight of the Episode 1 DLC for The Division 2 is Expeditions. These are two new missions, focusing on exploration and puzzle solving. One is called Camp White Oak, which takes on The Black Tusk in a fortified woodland stronghold. You’ll need to have reached World Tier 5 and completed Tidal Basin in order to access it. The other is the Manning National Zoo Expedition. It follows a group of agents as they fight through an Outcast stronghold based in the National Zoo. Emeline Shaw is hunkered down in there after her defeat at Roosevelt Island, and you’ll need to hunt her down once and for all. To launch this mission, head to the helipad outside of the Base of Operations.
The second episode, Pentagon: The Last Castle, is due in Fall this year and has players entering the famous building to take on the Black Tusk in three new main missions. Instead of going outside the city in Episode 1, you strike inwards.Players will need to secure the Pentagon, one of North America’s most important buildings. In this episode for The Division 2, the Pentagon has come under attack by enemy factions, and it’s up to you to stop them and prevent them from gaining important information.
Finally, Brooklyn: Homecoming is the third episode, taking place on Coney Island. There will be a host of new challenges and fans will be encountering a familiar foe and face what may be the biggest threat yet. The episode is scheduled to arrive early 2020, so it’s still some ways off.
The Division 2’s episodic content is free. Players with the Year 1 pass will receive additional cosmetics and get to play the new content early.
Additionally, between June 13 and June 16, Ubisoft is hosting a free weekend for The Division 2.
