Last month, Ubisoft released a tool that allows players to create their own quests in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Players were taking advantage of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s new Story Creator tool and dish out simple XP farming quests to farm XP. And now Ubisoft has issued a statement about it via its forums.

 
Ubisoft says that “these exploits risk jeopardizing the overall quality, integrity, and purpose of story creator mode and results in less visibility for the creative, interesting and frankly fantastic community stories that have been published.”
 
So XP farming quests will be pulled from the recommendation engine going forward, and will be hidden as reports of “exploitation or cheating” come in. Additionally, the terms of service will be updated in light of this, and Ubisoft will be “sanctioning those who continue to willingly and intentionally misuse the tool.” The company also re-dedicated itself to “actively” combating other exploits in the future.
 
Here’s a list of fixes that Ubisoft will be issuing:
 

• XP farming quests will not appear in our automatic recommendation system – this includes the Hall of Fame and the trending section.
• Stories that are reported for exploitation or cheating will be hidden moving forward.
• Our terms of use will be updated to reflect the misuse of the tool.
• We will be sanctioning those who continue to willingly and intentionally misuse the tool.
• Implement further solutions with upcoming title updates. We will share more information as we near these updates.

It was not stated when the fixes would be rolling out, but we will let you know when Ubisoft announces an official date.
 
“Story Creator Mode was designed to be a tool for players to let their creativity and imagination run free as they build their very own Stories to share with others,” said Ubisoft. “We want to focus on rewarding creativity by highlighting quality quests.”

 
 

Last, I do hear most players feel leveling up in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a drag. To help you out, at the end of this article, we’ve listed some effective resources for XP farming in the game:
 
- Collect every available contract available at bounty boards in each region, complete the easy ones, rinse, repeat. This leaves you with apprx. 2-3 levels per hour.Ship contracts in general also give more xp. If you can stack multiple of the same objective which is fairly easy you can level up really quickly.
 
- Bounties also give you a decent chunk of XP considering it’s usually a quick “kill this dude”.
 
- And if you can get to mercenary s1, you get 35% more XP, money, and materials for bounties and contracts.
 
- As you explore the map complete all the objectives for each location. Still a grind but it’s fun and it hastens leveling
 
- Clearing forts nets you a decent amount of xp also tombs are good because they are relatively short and you also get a skill point with each one. While most marketboard quests are boring/repetitive if you pick up the ones without a timer they often complete while you are just playing the game. Also do the side quests that appear on your map quite a few are interesting at least to me and often give big xp.
