Vindictus’s last update of 2016, titled Blight of the Unseen, is now live.

Introducing a new chapter to the story of Vindictus, Blight of the Unseen is the title’s last update of 2016. It takes players to a new town called Berbhe, a place inhabited by seemingly friendly people who may hide the darkest of secrets. The Character Growth Goals feature is introduced and fans can expect to take on new challenges including a new terrifying threat.

Berbhe, the new town hub, introduces an array of characters, stories, and a battle board with Season 3 quests. Players will have a chance to explore the secrets that lurk around the town whilst protecting its mysterious inhabitants from underground threats spread across 8 new battle quests, each featuring a fearsome new boss. But that’s not all, as the settlement is plagued by a far more dangerous foe, the raid boss known simply as The Abomination. Like nothing adventurers have ever fought before, The Abomination is a towering figure that much resembles the mix between a human and an insect. The raid has puzzle elements and completing it grants players access to the new Plate Armor set as well as powerful new weapons.

Furthermore, adventurers can now count on the new Character Growth Goals to keep track of simple tasks that will reward their deeds throughout their journeys. Accessed from the events menu, the CGC comes in three forms: Level Goals, Story Goals, and Skill Goals, each bestowing a different prize.

The towns of Vindictus are in a celebratory mood as snow falls over their rooftops, with the exception of the underground settlement of Berbhe. The Lucky Box is now filled with new pets and cosmetics including exclusive fan-made attires from the 2016 Chinese Costume Contest. Finally, the update brings back the Christmas Defender Event as well as week long buffs and a new Attendance event with special prizes waiting to be claimed.
